Film Two - 'Downfall'

This film is superb - totally absorbing and fascinating.

The director, Oliver Hirschbiegel, managed to pitch it absolutely perfectly - it really humanised Hitler in a way that you just have never seen/heard before, that's not to say he came across as a sentimental, misguided, misunderstood man (far from it!), some of the things he said and did were just beyond belief.

He had such a charismatic way about him; he was still able to command such respect and loyalty despite Berlin in ruins around him and half of his generals etc disagreeing with his orders - they were so programmed to obey him.

Riveting and intelligently made film - you absolutely must see it.
