Cycling Challenge

Next year, probably around April or May, my sister and I will be cycling to Le Havre.  The route is:

• Cycle from Chichester to Dover - with a stop or two en route.  Brighton or Hastings perhaps
• Ferry from Dover to Calais
• Cycle from Calais to Le Havre - with a stop or two en route.  Definitely Boulogne-sur-mer and ??
• Ferry from Le Havre to Portsmouth

We're not cycling nutters, we don't wear the maillot à pois rouge, we are not King of the Mountains.  We want to find coastal roads where possible, we don't mind a bit of a climb, but not thigh-burning, heart-pounding, eyes-bulging kind of climbs.  My face doesn't look great when it's a shocking shade of raspberry for more than a couple of minutes.


What I'd like help with is planning this.  What are the best apps or websites for mapping such routes, is there info on terrain, traffic etc??  If you can put us up en route, that would also be amazing.


We are also aiming to raise money for charity both on the English and French sides.  Suggestions also welcome.
