What's Hot and What's Not!

Love or loathe predictor text/T9 or whatever ... it is clearly spurning a whole new language into our lives.

As introducted by the WONDERFUL Stephen Fry last week on the Jonathan Ross show, it is now de rigueur to refer to things as being 'book' instead of 'cool'; all thanks to wonder that is predictor text tools on your mobile phone.

"In early versions of T9, ‘book' always came before ‘cool' because according to our analysis of the English language it was used more frequently and the order determined by our analysis was static."

Now, I don't know about you, but despite being a BIG reader, I am still more likely to use 'cool' in my messages than 'book'!!! Personally, I wouldn't say that this analysis was very in-depth ;o)
