Stuff

I don't appear to have an opinion on anything at the moment ... how dull?!!

  • Jack Johnson album stonking
  • Hard-Fi album (Stars of CCTV) superb. Okay, here goes, my attempt at describing their sound: Skinner-ish, in terms of it being biographical; Ordinary Boys-ish, guitar-led pop/rock, depicting life in a big town (Staines v Worthing obviously!!! ROCK ON!); a touch of The Jam with a dollop of Clash attitude, but then you get surprised by the melancholic 'Move On' ... I love it!
  • Tom Vek (We Have Sound) - need to listen to it again; Beck for the Brits, enjoying it so far ...
  • War of the Worlds - give it a miss, it will just annoy you

Anyone want to buy my house?

Hipster PDAs, Hipster PDAs, Hipster PDAs, Hipster PDAs, Hipster PDAs, Hipster PDAs - just so cool and perhaps just a little bit geeky. My favourite template for one - I like the tab system ...

YubNub - Thanks for the 'heads up' on this one Drekkers ... a (social) command line for the web!

Well, it is just so darn predictable - why couldn't have died is beyone me, how come Boston was 'preserved'??? The tripods were impressive, Tom Cruise wasn't too bad, great that the action kicked very early on, went a little flat and slow then suddenly wrapped up??? Thought there was going to be an 'ET moment' between the little girl, Rachel, and the aliens where they would suddenly have 'a connection'. Fortunately that didn't happen!!

That's pretty much how/why it annoyed me :o)
